'Second Love' in ondernemen

Chantal Peters, co-owner of EKI, has published another blog on De Ondernemer. This time, she shares her perspective on employees with multiple jobs or so-called “side hustles.” Instead of discouraging them, she sees them as an enrichment for the company.
Passions and projects alongside work
In the article, Chantal explains how employees at EKI often have other projects or businesses alongside their jobs, and how this actually leads to more motivation, energy, and creativity in the workplace. She calls them “second loves”: passions or projects that can coexist perfectly well with a permanent job, as long as there is mutual trust.
More energy, more creativity
According to Chantal, it is important for employers to adapt to this societal trend. Employees are looking for more freedom and purpose, and companies that embrace this benefit from engaged and inspired colleagues.
At EKI, this approach has proven successful. Employees bring in new ideas, show more entrepreneurial spirit, and feel more recognized and appreciated.
