Processors
Processors are companies that process and convert rubber and foam materials into desired shapes. Each with its own focus and specialization: from cellular rubber processors to companies specialized in laser cutting and waterjet cutting of rubber and foam materials. EKI supplies these rubber and foam materials to processors.

Cellular Rubber Processors
Cellular rubber processing companies process and convert natural or synthetic rubber into usable forms such as strips, rolls, sheets, bands, reels, blocks, circles, rings, stamped or molded shapes.
Cellular rubber processors produce a wide range of rubber products, including tires, hoses, belts, seals, gaskets, conveyor belts, and other industrial rubber products. Some companies also produce consumer goods such as rubber gloves, footwear, and toys.
These processors play an important role in many industries, including automotive, construction, healthcare, and manufacturing. They must maintain high quality and safety standards to ensure their products meet customer needs and regulations.
The main products we supply to (cellular) rubber processors include EPDM cellular rubber, neoprene cellular rubber, extra-soft EPDM cellular rubber, and higher-density EPDM cellular rubber.
Laser Cutting
Laser cutting is a machining technique in which materials are cut into the desired shape using a laser. The laser is a highly concentrated beam of light that melts and vaporizes the material, thereby cutting it. A laser cutter can process many different materials, including rubber and foam.
Foam is highly suitable for laser cutting and milling. One well-known application of PE foam (polyethylene foam) is as packaging foam for filling suitcases and boxes. It is often found in transport cases or as inserts in cases and tool drawers.
Rubber, on the other hand, is too soft to mill and can only be cut or laser cut. We supply various types of rubber for laser cutting, including SBR rubber, NBR rubber, silicone rubber, EPDM rubber, and neoprene rubber.

Waterjet Cutting
Waterjet cutting is a machining process in which a high-pressure stream of water (often mixed with an abrasive) is used to cut through various materials. It is a versatile and precise cutting method suitable for materials such as metals, plastics, composites, stone, ceramics, glass, rubber, and foam.
For technical materials such as rubber, foam, and plastics, no abrasive is used.
It is a cold cutting process, meaning no heat is generated during cutting, minimizing the risk of thermal damage. Waterjet cutting produces no dust or fumes, making it a cleaner and safer method. It is also highly precise, with tolerances up to 0.1 mm.
This method is particularly useful for cutting complex shapes, as the waterjet can accurately follow computer-controlled designs. All our rubber and foam materials are suitable for waterjet cutting, including foam, rubber, cellular rubber, sponge rubber, and neoprene.
