What properties does ArmaFlex have?
Our range includes ArmaFlex synthetic foam. Synthetic foam is highly suitable as insulation foam. Because the material is made from hollow particles of polymer, metal, or ceramic, it has a lower density. It is also stronger and has lower thermal expansion, making it suitable for both heat and cold applications. The foam is very flexible, allowing for quick and easy installation. Thanks to the closed-cell structure of ArmaFlex insulation foam, condensation does not form on the material. Its low thermal conductivity ensures that the surface temperature remains stable as insulation thickness increases, resulting in effective energy savings. Additionally, the foam has high resistance to water vapor diffusion and is flame-retardant. The synthetic foam also has a long service life.

How is it applied?
Because the foam is flame-retardant and has built-in antimicrobial protection, it is often used in public spaces and process industries. It is widely applied in the sports sector and aerospace industry, and can also be found in ship hulls and skis. The material is used for lining cold rooms and doors, and for insulating and protecting pipelines. It is also applied as thermal insulation for tanks, vessels, reservoirs, and air ducts. Due to its high resistance to water vapor diffusion, the risk of corrosion under insulation is reduced. Thanks to its good acoustic properties, it is sometimes also used for sound insulation.
In addition to these applications, one of the main uses of ArmaFlex is pipe insulation (HVAC). It is used for this purpose because of its excellent acoustic, flame-retardant, and thermal insulating properties. Its low thermal conductivity reduces heat loss in pipes. Without pipe insulation, heat is lost to spaces that do not need to be heated. Another reason ArmaFlex is used for pipe insulation is to reduce ticking noises in pipes caused by expansion and contraction during heating and cooling. By retaining heat within the pipe, these noises are minimized. It also helps maintain water temperature in pipes, reducing waiting time for hot water. Finally, ArmaFlex foam protects pipes from freezing and prevents condensation, which could otherwise cause moisture damage if it drips onto ceilings.
