In addition, for flat-roof mounting systems, EPDM rubber can be installed beneath the tubes of an aluminium frame. This prevents the aluminium from coming into direct contact with the roof covering. On pitched roofs, the rubber is used to prevent contact between the aluminium suspension system and steel beams.
