EKI 1300: Closed cell polyethylene foam, Cross linked PE foam grey, XPE.

Closed cell PE foam is one of the simplest and most inexpensive closed cell insulation materials. PE cell foam is a good insulator against hot and cold and creates a sound reduction insulation. It may be used in a variety of different weather conditions. PE sealants stop air infiltration and are used to seal window glass into wood, aluminium and plastic frames. PE foam is also used as a packaging foam.

The double sided self-adhesive PE foam tape has a very strong adhesive on both sides of the PE foam. A typical example of a use for this self-adhesive foam tape would be in the assembly of mirrors to their frames. It is also called structural glazing tape.
